The Advisory Model

We help you build a business that's worth more

Most fractional CFOs help you run the business. Capfluent helps you grow it. We partner with founders to identify and optimize the most impactful growth levers for your business. Our approach delivers practical outcomes that maximize business value.

Future focused, outcomes driven

Finance-first, not accounting-first. Your books tell you what already happened; Capfluent works on the choice in front of you, through capital readiness, valuation and scenario modeling.

You know when to move, and when to wait

We thoroughly assess your capital readiness and recommend the steps your business needs to take to secure the most attractive terms for a deal.

Engagements centered on founder objectives

You know your business from the inside out. We work from the outside in, tailoring our proven capital advisory approach to your unique goals.

Principal-led expertise, with you at every step

Founders need trusted advisors and trust is built on experience. When the deal gets done, the advisor by your side brings 20+ years experience to the table.

Companies that go to market prepared do not just sell. They sell for materially more. The advisory practice is how a founder-led company gets there.

A Separate Track · The Capital Fluency Lab

Learn capital from the people who write the checks

For earlier-stage, Denver-metro founders who want to learn their options first, the Lab runs as four half-day sessions over four months, all held in person in Denver. LeVon convenes every session, and real lenders, investors, and capital partners join the room. You leave with a 12-month Capital Plan you can act on.

01

You learn every funding path

The Lab covers debt, equity, venture capital, and non-dilutive funding. You learn how each one works while you still have time to choose between them.

02

Real experts in the room

Every session includes a live panel of real lenders, investors, and capital partners. You ask them your own questions directly.

03

The Four Lenses

You work through Strategy, Structure, Story, and Source, the four-lens framework LeVon has used on both sides of the table.

04

A 12-month Capital Plan

You leave with a written 12-month Capital Plan and a readiness checklist you own.

Industry Data · Federal Reserve

Asking for capital is not the same as getting it

Every year the Federal Reserve asks small businesses how their financing applications went. The Capital Fluency Lab helps founders understand what lenders and investors need to see, and prepare it long before an application goes in.

Real lenders and investors on every session panel.

The Lab and the advisory practice are separate engagements, and neither requires the other. Advisory engagements are bespoke to your decision, not sold off a menu; pricing is discussed on a strategy call. Advisory only, not an RIA or broker-dealer.

The best capital decisions are never made under pressure

Growth creates capital questions that don't arrive on a convenient schedule. Put your plan in place before the moment arrives.

Frequently Asked Questions

I'm not raising money right now. Is this still for me?

That's exactly the right time. Capital decisions are never made well for the first time under pressure, and the Federal Reserve's own survey shows what urgency costs: 22% of applicant firms received none of the financing they sought. The Capital Fluency Lab builds your 12-month plan before the moment demands one.

How is this different from other Denver fractional CFO shops?

Most sell hours, or staff a finance function and hand it to an analyst. Capfluent is built around one decision at a time, delivered by the principal. That judgment was earned on the investor side of the table, and the Denver founder ecosystem knows the name: LeVon holds a seat judging the 2026 Colorado Companies to Watch class.

Is the Lab a prerequisite for the advisory work?

No. They are separate engagements, and neither requires the other. Founders start with whichever fits the decision in front of them: the Lab if you want to learn your capital options in a room with real providers, advisory if you want an ongoing strategic-finance partner.

I already have a bookkeeper and an accountant. Why add this?

Accounting tells you what happened. We help you decide what to do next: capital readiness, valuation and scenario modeling, and investor and lender relations, informed by a career spent where the investors sit. Your books stay in the background so strategy stays in the foreground.

Do you raise capital, or take a percentage of my raise or sale?

No. Capital options are taught in the Lab and advised on in the advisory engagements; they are never executed, placed, or brokered. Any exit support is offered to existing advisory clients at flat engagement fees, never a percentage of transaction value.

Do I have to be in Denver?

The in-person Capital Fluency Lab is for Denver-metro founders. The advisory practice works with founder-led companies anywhere.

Not investment, legal, or tax advice.
